This is the first foray by AWS (Amazon Web Services) into the blockchain ecosystem and is the first blockchain SaaS solution available on the AWS Marketplace and they say it will will help users rapidly advance their blockchain projects.

Kaleido would enable its users to deal with those issues, Michael Dickson, the enterprise blockchain business development lead at ConsenSys, told CoinDesk.

"Kaleido is making blockchain more accessible and easier to use for our customers and even faster to securely connect their blockchain solutions to the rest of AWS's fleet of services".

The cloud computing arm of Amazon in a bid to make it much easier for clients to use Blockchain technology announced a new partnership this Tuesday.

Kaleido provides a full solution for those ready for something more than do-it-yourself scripts or templates, streamlining the process of standing up secure, private blockchain networks without sacrificing the ability to customize the environment.

Cryptocurrency media Coindesk notes that in managing participation in a private blockchain, enterprises usually come across various challenges, including member onboarding, consensus and communication mechanism, as well as governance of the platform. For example, a live blockchain network requires a shared IT infrastructure across all involved parties, which has proven to be hard and costly.

Enterprises can anchor their chain to mainnet and store the state on public blockchain. But Kaleido is a blockchain business cloud, and enterprise is in its DNA.

The move will let companies uninitiated in the cryptoverse quickly embrace the space's keystone tech, blockchain, with as little friction as possible.

"AWS's innovative technologies have been very beneficial as we have grown our public cloud footprint over the years, and that is why we've chosen to expand our strategic relationship", Atte Lahtiranta, Oath's CTO, said in a statement at the time. "This creates a frictionless experience and streamlines integration with additional AWS services that our customers often leverage when deploying Blockchain solutions".

Kaleido, which was launched today, May 15th, will feature "popular Ethereum packages Geth and Quorum". "In partnership with ConsenSys and running on the Kaleido platform, we successfully accelerated Project i2i into active pilot without the complexity and cost of starting from scratch".

"Since the inception of ConsenSys in 2014, we have been on a mission to accelerate the adoption of Ethereum and all the benefits that decentralization can bring to business and societies around the world", says Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of ConsenSys. He said it can also help connecting enterprises' private blockchains to the ethereum network. Verizon is migrating over 1,000 business-critical applications and database backend systems to AWS, several of which also include the migration of production databases to Amazon Aurora-AWS's relational database engine that combines the speed and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open source databases.

US Senate panel approves Haspel as new Central Intelligence Agency chief despite torture claims
But for Warner, and for the Democrats who followed his lead to also announce their support for Haspel on Tuesday, it was enough. Haspel's involvement in torture is deeply troubling, as my friend and colleague, John McCain, so eloquently reminded us".
