One Dead In Aliso Viejo Explosion

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to the incident.

One person was dead and at least two were hurt after a vehicle crashed into a medical building in Orange County, causing a possible explosion, authorities said Tuesday.

Authorities initially indicated a auto had crashed into the building, but Bommarito said later that did not appear to be the case.

He said the person who died was inside the building when the blast occurred.

Orange County sheriff's experts along with FBI, the ATF and other federal agencies are investigating the cause of the blast.

Authorities had not found an explosive device Tuesday night but were searching through debris that was left after the blast.

The explosion was reported before 1:25 p.m. on the first floor of a two-story office building, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) told CBS Los Angeles. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known. Dave Sawyer said the size of the explosion made is suspicious.

Despite a third place finish, Abadi could potentially still remain prime minister after the government coalition is formed. Winning the largest number of seats does not automatically guarantee that Sadr will be able to hand-pick a prime minister.

A daycare and preschool are near the site of the explosion, but authorities say all of the children are safe.

". They weren't on fire, they were helping each other across the street, walking very slowly and a lot of shock, shaking, just full of ash all over their face, eyes bloodshot, just blood all over", the woman said.

"We have confirmed there was no vehicle inside", Bommarito said, adding there was an explosion inside the building.

Bomb squad investigators and FBI agents are looking into what caused the blast but authorities said there was no lingering threat, according to NBC.

Bommarito could not provide the status of the three individuals taken to the hospital.

Crews extinguished a fire that had erupted in the building.
