Nokia X6 with display notch, dual cameras launched: Price and features

The notch design we're seeing on smartphones is here to stay. Google also informed that they are working with select smartphone manufacturers like Nokia, Sony, OnePlus and Xiaomi to bring Android P update to some of their phones as well.

Nokia X6 has a glass body. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. There is no information if the smartphone will be coming to India or not.

The smartphone also has 3.5mm headphone jack slot, and comes with a single microphone. It comes in two RAM options; 4 GB RAM or 6 GB RAM. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The addition of the Nokia X6 will be a welcome one. The Nokia X6 was clearly designed with the thought in mind to kill its predecessor. The details suggest that the upcoming device will be priced at 1,499 Yuan (around Rs 13,500).

Unlike the other new Nokia Android smartphones, the Nokia X6 seems to miss out the ZEISS lens.

JD, Suning and TMall are now taking pre-orders for Nokia X6 for a May 21 release date. The Finns at HMD were likely upset that the Nokia 6.1 (2018) was less successful than the Nokia 6 (2017). Rumours are pouring in that HMD Global has already started working on its next phone, which will be a budget segment device. Later, the company also confirmed the launch date as May 16th.

The leaked image clearly matches the design of the alleged Nokia X which is listed on the TENAA certification website. This is Nokia's first smartphone which comes with Display Notch. HMD Global has not issued any official statement about the rumors about the more X-series devices. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the device offers 16MP dual camera setup on the rear and a single 16MP camera on the front for selfies. It measures 147.20 x 70.98 x 8.59 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 151.00 grams. On the rear, there is also a circular fingerprint sensor.

For the camera, the Finnish company is touting the presence of artificial intelligence (AI) features for improved photography, such as optimized color, field and portrait lighting effects, as well as face recognition. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Nokia X6 is fueled by a Snapdragon 636 SoC combined with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of inward stockpiling or 6GB of RAM and 64GB stockpiling. Rates rise to CNY 1499 (roughly $235 or Rs 15965) for the 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM version and finally end up at CNY 1699 (about $267 or Rs 18095) for the 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM model.
