After announcing the delay of Metro Exodus to 2019, THQ Nordic and 4A Games have confirmed that the game will still be present at E3 2018 in Los Angeles and on this occasion, a new sequence of gameplay will be shown.

Metro Exodus, the third installment in 4A Games' gritty post-apocalyptic shooter series, was scheduled to hit consoles and PC later this year, but we'll have to wait a bit longer before we dive back into radiation-filled Russian Federation. It will be the first new entry in the series in almost six years, with 2013's Metro: Last Light being the most recent game.

Speaking with Game Informer (via PC Gamer), creative director Andiry Prokhorov and executive producer Jon Bloch revealed that individual levels in Exodus will be larger than anything seen in the previous games. Games like Nier Automata saw a release in March as extremely well timed as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the Christmas rush, and even Sony has start putting its big hitters in the same timeframe. But Deep Silver has recently become part of THQ Nordic, which is also welded to the death of THQ.

European Finals to be shown free on YouTube
RTÉ has retained a Tuesday slot, but TV3 will also be showing a live game that night due to a new schedule. The TV3 group - which includes TV3, 3e and Be3 - will have exclusive rights to 327 European matches.

The third entry in the well-regarded first person shooter series opened up Microsoft's pre-E3 event a year ago, with a very impressive-looking demonstration.

Exodus was going to release in the fall of 2018. It gives players more breadth to move around the world above the Metro, which takes a lot more design scrutiny and testing.

The scale of Metro Exodus is huge, definitely their most ambitious project yet.
