Piscotty, who returned to the A's Tuesday after missing four games to be with his family, drove an 0-2 pitch from Eduardo Rodriguez out to left in the second inning. Piscotty's mom, Gretchen, lost her battle with ALS last week at age 55.

The A's right fielder made a touching return to the diamond Tuesday night, launching a second-inning home run over the Green Monster at Fenway Park during a game with the Red Sox in his first-at bat since coming off the bereavement list.
