NES Classic Edition will return to stores this June

Do you already own the NES Classic Edition or do you plan on picking one up this summer? The NES Classic was a hit in the United Kingdom and the rest of the world, and more than a year after the initial launch, Nintendo has announced the 2018 re-release of the NES Classic. The company then made a decision to stop the manufacturing of the micro-console, promising to be back soon. The Tweet states that retailers will start carrying the product again starting on June 29.

Unfortunately, by mid-2017, the NES Classic Edition was as rare as a legendary Pokemon. Nintendo also released Star Fox 2, a previously unreleased video game, bundled with the game library of the Super Nes Classic.

Are you planning on picking up the NES Classic Edition or the Super NES Classic Edition? Regarding the SNES Classic, Nintendo recently made a statement that it already sold almost 5 million units. Tracking down a Nintendo and purchasing all the games that were included in the NES Classic would cost hundreds of dollars. It also brought good news for the SNES retro console, which the company expects to also be available through to the end of the year. It is hence not surprising why there is no Virtual Console download store for the Switch.
