'Dark Souls: Remastered' on Nintendo Switch Delayed to 'Later This Summer'

The game and its amiibo are now hitting sometime later this summer.

The Nintendo Switch version thought has been "postponed" until an unspecified point this summer, along with the previously announced Solaire of Astora amiibo.

Weirdly enough, it looks like the rest of the versions of the game will still be releasing on track for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when they debut on May 25.

Based on other tweets and a press release from Bandai Namco, it seems the decision to delay Dark Souls Remastered is to make sure everything is running as smoothly as possible on Nintendo's latest console. Nintendo Switch Online is meant to hit in September 2018.

About BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe S.A.S. Bandai Namco promises that the delay is in order to ensure that the developers can really polish the switch release of the legendary game. Thankfully, the Dark Souls Twitter account has put our fears to bed.
