Browns not interested in Dez Bryant

The Dallas Cowboys, as was inevitable as long as he would not take a pay cut, released Dez Bryant last Friday. Bryant, who had been with the Cowboys since they drafted him in the first round of the 2010 draft, has been to three Pro Bowls, and he's one of the most well-known names in the National Football League wide receiver ranks.

There is, however, a team in the AFC North that is interested and that's the Baltimore Ravens, sources told Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. Combined with a large salary-cap number for a player who wasn't producing 1,200-yard, 10-touchdown seasons anymore, Dallas chose to cut him loose.

Bryant said he was interested in staying in the NFC East-he wanted the opportunity to play the Cowboys twice a year.

Outside of the NFC East, a look at the rest of Dallas' schedule could point to potential landing spots for Bryant.

The Ravens added Michael Crabtree and John Brown in free agency, but adding another wide receiver has to be on the radar.

Bryant made three Pro Bowls since the Cowboys selected him the first round of the 2010 draft, and he departs Dallas as the team's all-time leader with 73 touchdown receptions. He's not going to make that much money in Baltimore, who have a bit more than $10 million in cap space to work with, and that's before their draft picks come in. However, Bryant's production has dipped sharply in recent seasons-he hasn't topped 900 receiving yards in three years, and he's combined for just 17 TD grabs in that span.

Bryant has always been known as a passionate and outspoken player, a competitor who lets his desire to win be known.
