"At my age I can still learn and I enjoy every minute of it, but I think we share one thing of having the hunger and desire to never be satisfied".

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany has challenged his teammates to build on the first Premier League title of the Pep Guardiola era and create a dynasty at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions this afternoon due to local rivals Manchester United losing to West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. There have been a lot more good days for the Red side but today it is for the Blue. The first one was special but this one is perhaps the one I'm most proud of.

"It's the same feeling as the first time, you can't describe it", Kompany told Sky Sports. One team was dominant in Germany and one had Messi, but we are nothing without the team'. "The previous ones we almost threw it away, I've seen many teams win it as champions for the whole season but in our case it's the first time".

Kompany revealed his delight at winning the title for the third time in his City career and claimed this was the one he was most proud of.

Kompany, whose return to regular fitness has been a key factor in City's success this season, said there could be no talk of domination after they won a first league title since 2014.

And Kompany was quick to pay tribute to Guardiola for getting the best out of his players in his second season.

"It just shows how football is lived in Manchester - we've got Reds in the family we've got Blues in the family", he said.

"[This season] differs in the fact that we were consistent", the Belgian explained.

"I'm happy and I suppose some of my team-mates will roll their eyes when they hear me say this but I want to see how the reaction is going to be now". It is one title. We're super happy but there's still so much work to be done before this squad's full potential is unlocked.
