Mike Woodson wants to coach Knicks again: 'I hope they call me'

Woodson, 60, was sacked by then-Knicks president Phil Jackson following the 2013-14 season - without a meeting - after the team missed the playoffs by one game. He had one year remaining on his contract.

With Porzingis, Ntilikina, and Tim Hardaway Jr., this Knicks team definitely has some promise, but if they want to break their five-year playoff drought, changes will have to be made.

"That's [management's] job. They're going to do their part and I'm going to do my part".

Mills and Perry fired Jeff Hornacek earlier this week and have begun a search for the next Knicks coach.

Over the last few days, names like former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson and former Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale have surfaced as potential candidates to replace Hornacek.

"I was surprised when I wasn't [hired]", Vogel said, according to the New York Daily News.

President Trump Makes Statement On Syria
Trump "is a person who could change temperamentally, so he may say something different the next day ", Aso said. To do otherwise, the letter said, violated the separation of powers outlined by the Constitution.

Given the general level of ineptitude, and at times dysfunction, enjoyed by the Knicks since James Dolan became majority owner, the head coach is never on stable ground. "I like NY, but New York is a tough place to coach".

The Knicks and Porzingis are entering a pivotal offseason. The organization seemed comfortable with the idea of making that offer before Porzingis' injury.

Nobody would fault the front office for waiting until next summer, especially when that can create additional cap room for the 2019 free agency class.

"It all depends on how I can come [back] from the injury and how I move", Porzingis said.

There is no timetable for Porzingis' return, but he is expected to be sidelined until at least December.
