The Moto G6 Play meanwhile is rumoured to feature a 5.7-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 427 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB on-board storage, along with a 4000mAh battery. As the company has started sending media invites for an event in Brazil scheduled on April 19. The lineup is expected to include the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus from what past reports tell us.

Inside, Moto G6 is said to have 1.8GHz octa-core CPU (most likely Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset) and a full day battery ( around 3,000mAh minimum capacity) having fast charging capability.

Going by the leaked image, it is quite sure now that the new Moto G6 Play will carry a glass build similar to that of Moto X4 which was launched past year. The images were posted on Instagram and were first spotted by SlashLeaks, which also reported that the Moto G6-series is based on the Moto X4 design. It scored 866 points in the single-core test and 4123 points in the multi-core test. Dual-SIM card support with 32GB inbuilt storage is also likely to come on board.

Rumored specs for the phone include an nearly 6-inch Full HD display with an 18:9 ratio, a Snapdragon 630 chipset and 6GB of RAM. While most Android OEMs are using iPhone X-style display cutouts in their new phones, Motorola seems to be staying away from it, and is continuing the use of 18:9 display with minimal bezels around it. Below the camera module, there is the batwing logo of Motorola which is said to be housing the fingerprint scanner as well. The primary sensor could be 12-megapixel, whereas the secondary sensor could have a resolution of 5 megapixels. On the front, both would have a 16 MP selfie snapper with a dedicated LED flash. We have seen a bunch of renders of the phones in the past that give a pretty good idea of what to expect on the design front. Being a "Play" device, the G6 Play should have a larger battery than its compatriots, and a 4,000mAh unit has been suggested.
