Right before the clock struck midnight to conclude the first day of the NFL's "legal tampering period" of free agency, ESPN's Adam Schefter broke news that the Denver Broncos would be signing quarterback Case Keenum at the dawn of free agency on Wednesday, March 14th.
The Broncos haven't made the playoffs since their Super Bowl win to close out the 2015 season.
Keenum is expected to become the first of the high-profile quarterbacks in the open market to agree to a deal.
Keenum, of course, comes off a season which saw him complete 67.6 percent of his passes with 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns.
The Vikings, who were subsequently blown out at Philadelphia in the conference championship, made a decision to let all three of their QBs - Keenum, Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater - test free agency. Cousins would now appear to be the favorite to replace Keenum in Minnesota.
Trump says Wilbur Ross, EU to discuss tariffs, trade barriers
The U.S. used the threat of Section 301 , adopted in 1974, during a trade dispute with Japan in the 1980s to extract concessions. You'd think California Steel Industries would be happy with President Donald Trump's new tariff on steel imports.

Bouchard will remain busy; not only is Bob's Burgers continuing at FOX, but a movie has been in development for a while. This move marks a rare one for 20th Century Fox Television, selling work outside the Fox corporate family.
United Kingdom will come to 'regret' Brexit - Juncker
But he warned that the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic could be a major roadblock to sealing a deal. He said it "translates faithfully" the agreement reached between Theresa May and the European Union in December.
All three quarterbacks were draft picks by Elway, the Hall of Fame quarterback who has only had success at quarterback in free agency.
But it was Siemian, a seventh-rounder from Northwestern, who emerged as Manning's surprise successor in 2016.
Kubiak is now Denver's senior personnel advisor and Joseph is the team's head coach. Even Broncos players, specifically Von Miller, openly campaigned for Cousins to come to Denver this offseason.
Former Broncos coach and current front office consultant Gary Kubiak coached Keenum when he was with the Texans. And the team did pick up the $4 million on Demaryius Thomas' contract, as John Elway said he would do two weeks ago at the NFL Combine. "That is what we are working on". That's why he was the back-up in the playoffs over Bridgewater and that's why the team is going after Cousins, who is the same age as Bradford and has a similar style of play (although Cousins is much more mobile).
I do like that it's 15 minutes away rather than the 1,500-mile trek I'd have to make to say thanks.
Well, that's exactly what happened while most of us were asleep, but we're all thankful for Cody Roark who got the breaking news out to you right after it happened. Garrett Bolles, who the Broncos drafted in the first round previous year will be improved after a rookie season that saw him develop throughout.
