Rowling has said she thinks of the younger Dumbledore as a gay man who fell in love with Gellert Grindelwald, who later turned out to be evil and violent.

The film is the second of five adventures - which has been penned by Rowling - follows on from the end of the first film, which was released back in 2016. The trailer also gives us the first glimpses of Dumbledore enlisting Newt's help to fight Grindelwald.

The trailer hints that Scamander is acting under orders from Dumbledore to head to Paris, but as the future-Hogwarts headmaster notes, Scamander isn't one for taking orders well.

In the early 20th century, apart from being a professor of Transfiguration at Hogwarts, Dumbledore was also monitoring the movements of Grindelwald (the darkest of dark wizards before Voldemort rose to power) and appointed his former student Newton Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne, who else!), you know, just to be his accomplice in Mission Grindelwald.

Needless to say, the trailer has magical glimpses of some of Newt Scamander's fantastic beasts and many of his adventures. He has published his book, and is finally over Leta Lestrange. The least interesting part of "Where to Find Them" is all the grumpy stuff, and it seems like we're going to get a lot more of that, rather than any of the fun stuff with Newt and Jacob playing magic Pokémon. Let us know in the comments section below or on Twitter. "I can't move against Grindelwald", Dumbledore tells Newt.
