The Radford University Highlanders - winners of the Big South tournament - took on the LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds in Dayton, Ohio, winning 71-61 and claiming their first March Madness win in school history.

He will need the support of junior guard Raiquan Clark, who averaged 17.4 points per game this season, if the Blackbirds want to officially enter the NCAA Tournament field.
Radford didn't play its prettiest game, but the team from rural southwest Virginia will celebrate briefly before heading to Pittsburgh to play No. 1 seed Villanova on Thursday.
The games continue into Wednesday as two 16-seeds tip-off at 6:40 p.m.

Coming out of an LIU time-out the Donald Hicks show continued as Hicks hit a three coming out of the time-out and followed it up with a driving basket and all of the sudden Radford had grabbed a 49-42 lead halfway through the second half.
Being a member of the Atlantic 10, the Bonnies are very familiar with playing at UD Arena, the latest on January 3, in a game Saint Bonaventure lost to the Dayton Flyers. But the Highlanders played well and won the conference tournament as the second seed.
