HBO is throwing everything into Game of Thrones spinoffs

While the series will end with a six-episode season, HBO hopes to continue the magic with multiple spinoffs now in development.

HBO's senior vice president of drama Francesa Orsi recently recalled her experience of being at the table read of the final six episodes - including the finale, where some actors found out about their characters' ends without any warnings. Orsi said the network was put in an especially tough spot following the surprise second season renewal of "Big Little Lies", which was originally conceived at HBO as a one-and-done "limited series".

"$50 million [per season] would never fly for what we are trying to do", Orsi explained.

She said it would feel like "corporate malfeasance" for HBO to ignore Game of Thrones' spin-off potential, given the show's global audience.

"None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started to fall down to their deaths", she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. By the end, the last few words on the final script, the tears just started falling down.

The Eagles were widely expected to lose Burton, who racked up 23 catches for 248 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season. In those two seasons, he registered 60 receptions for 575 yards and six touchdowns, with a minimal number of starts.

Manchester United midfielder Carrick to retire at end of season

Rex Tillerson out as Secretary of State
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confer during a working lunch with African leaders during the U.N. Trump's suprise announcement took place less than four hours after Tillerson's flight landed.

She added that everyone stood for over 15 minutes and applauded-"It was fantastic".

Considering that both Game of Thrones and Big Little Lies deal with sexual assault, Orsi's choice of words come off as unnecessarily insensitive.

In a wide-ranging discussion, Bloys also touched on competition with Netflix, noting that the streaming giant was "in the volume business", while HBO was "in the curation business".

HBO has found itself in a little bit of hot water ... or at least one of their executives has over some comments that were made recently about the Big Little Lies season 2 salaries for Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and the rest of the cast. But HBO itself has said very little since the initial announcement.
