Craig Mack, US Rapper and P Diddy Protégé Dies At 46


The hip-hop star initially rose to fame in 1994 with the hit single "Flava In Ya Ear", and was the first artist to release an album on P Diddy's Bad Boy Records.

He was in SC, and reportedly passed away due to natural causes, TMZ reports. "Mack's the brand new flava in ya ear".

Craig Mack released two albums in the 90s - Project: Funk da World and Operation: Get Down. Craig's booming voice and unorthodox style, combined with producer Easy Mo Bee's futuristic Funk, were truly a brand new sound for a time in which Hip-Hop was undergoing a profound shift.

Hip Hop DJs Funkmaster Flex and DJ Scratch took to social media to confirm his passing and share their condolences. I can not believe this dude is gone. "God bless my friend", he said.

Hailing from Brentwood, Long Island, he cut his first single while still a teenager, under the name MC EZ.

"He was prepared for whatever comes, to go home to the Lord".
