YouTube removes right-wing conspiracy video claiming Parkland student is an actor

A Florida sheriff says the deputy who was on duty at a high school where 17 people were massacred waited outside the building for about four minutes without ever going in.

Others on Twitter claimed that Hogg is 26 and was once arrested in SC.

The far-right publication published photos, claiming to be of Hogg, both at a CNN newsdesk and wearing a CNN T-shirt before last week's shooting.

Hogg's classmates were quick to defend him. He also claimed that the students were "milking the death of their peers for careers".

Hogg also told CNN that he doesn't "want to take a constitutional right away from American citizens".

"If Hogg knew the shooter would snap - as he and other students have professed - perhaps he could have told his father about it". One conspiracy used an interview he gave on an unrelated story while visiting California a year ago as evidence he was a paid actor.

Over the past few days, conspiracy theories have popped up online, claiming that Hogg and other Marjory Stoneman students are actually actors paid by gun control advocates.

Pro-Trump accounts on social media have shared the stories on Twitter and in some cases have thousands of retweets.

Donald Jr. also liked a tweet, written by The Daily Ledger host Graham Ledger, saying: "Could it be that this student is running cover for his dad who Works as an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent at the Miami field office Which botched tracking down the Man behind the Valentine day massacre?"

Amy Poehler pissed NRA used 'Parks and Rec' image
NRA posted it to thank radio host Dana Loesch , who is their official spokesperson, for being an advocate for the organization. He also included that Poehler, who does not have her own account, texted him asking for him to respond .

The conspiracy theories have spilled into the ranks of government, too.

Tampa Bay Times' Washington bureau chief, Alex Leary, said Tuesday that an aide to a Florida state lawmaker sent him an email saying two kids in a picture "are not students here but actors that travel to various crisis when they happen". Kelly has since been fired.

The prominence of the conspiracy theories led Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida publicly condemning those spreading the claims.

On Tuesday night, CNN's Anderson Cooper asked Hogg to respond to the tweets, which accused him of attacking the NRA and Republicans as a way of defending his father, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent.

"I need to make these people's voices heard so that they don't die in vain", said Hogg.

It added: "Oh but wait, his father was in the Federal Bureau of Investigation". Appearing in the video is a young man identified as David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland shooting who has since emerged as a leader in the student-driven gun control advocacy movement.

During his appearance with Cooper, Hogg slammed theorists and said it was "disgusting" that Trump Jr. supported those who mocked or belittled their tragedy.

Boldrick said her husband, David Hogg, is a Republican who worked as an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent at airports in Los Angeles and Florida before retiring in October 2016 due to early-onset Parkinson's disease.
