Nokia 7 Plus Android One Handset and Nokia 1 press images leaked


These renders of the Nokia 7+ Android One Edition leaked by Blass give us our clearest look yet at the smartphone.

As we can see in the renders below, the Nokia 7 Plus looks quite interesting, and could be HMD Global's first smartphone to feature a screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, and rounded corners.

At this year's Mobile World Congress, HMD Global is expected to unveil two new smartphones with the Nokia logo stamped on the back: The Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 1.

The company rolled out the beta programme for Android 8.1 Oreo on the Nokia 8 a couple of weeks ago. It means the Nokia 7 Plus will be like the HTC U11 Life or a few other handsets that give you a pure, basic Android experience. It's the lighter version of Android that is created to work on budget and entry-level phones.

The Nokia 1 meanwhile will reportedly have a single rear camera while the Nokia 7 Plus is shown to have a dual rear camera setup. Besides this smartphone, HMD Global is also planning to launch Nokia 9 at MWC 2018. So with the Nokia 7 plus launch, we might see Snapdragon 660 processor launched globally. The phone will have 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor and microSD card slot. Which is to say that it will have minimal hardware with Google's software blessings and is expected to be the cheapest Nokia phone. It might come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for better selfies. The biggest upgrades on the Nokia 7 Plus will be on the camera front as the new phone will sport dual cameras, a combination of 12MP and 13MP shooters at the back with support for 2x zoom.
