Gunman among five killed in Kentucky shooting spree

Kentucky State Police say a gunman killed his parents, his girlfriend and his girlfriend's mother in a weekend shooting spree in Kentucky.

A 911 call about the auto led deputies to an apartment complex, where they found two women dead inside one of the units.

Price wrote that police in Paintsville received a 911 call at 3:33 p.m. about a shooting in the McKenzie Branch neighborhood. The sheriff's office, state police and Paintsville police worked together to search for the suspect, and other counties were notified to be on the lookout for the suspect, who was considered armed and unsafe.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office was directed to the apartment complex after "911 received a tip that the subject's vehicle was on Mill Street in Paintsville", according to a statement.

"The lives of four innocent victims were taken", Price said.
