Winter Olympics 2018: Does This American Curler Really Look Like Mario?


Mixed doubles curling is one of four new events in the 2018 Winter Olympics and was the first event overall to kick off official competition.

Eight teams are competing in the newly introduced Olympic event with the top four finishers in the preliminaries qualifying for the semifinals.

Despite a hard defeat for Switzerland, the duo of Jenny Perret and Martin Rios will have an opportunity to bounce back on Saturday against South Korea.

After Switzerland tied the score for the first time in the seventh end, they took advantage of USA mistakes, placing all of their rocks on the house for the five point win.
