A status yellow warning from Met Eireann is in place until midday. However, a band of rain will spread eastwards overnight with southerly winds becoming strong.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies and milder temperatures develop, with a high of 55 degrees Friday afternoon.
Friday morning will be cold with frost and wintry showers, according to Met Éireann.
We saw bands of showers that moved across the region Wednesday with even some isolated lightning and thunder. Temperatures will reach the low 60s for most.
Dry and clear for a time in the evening with a frost developing.
