The Haryana police on Wednesday arrested a total of 31 Karni Sena supporters in connection with the protests against controversial Bollywood movie "Padmaavat" under different sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including an attempt to murder.
The Chittorgarh unit of the Rajput Karni Sena announced on Thursday that it would release a film on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mother, titled Leela ki Leela.
Trade analyst Atul Mohan said last minute decisions of theatres about not screening the film can affect the movie's collections.
A state-run bus was torched near Bhondsi village on that day. Padmaavat features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles. However, the release of the film was not smooth enough as there were reports of some cinema halls - one in Gurugram and two in Mumbai - cancelling their shows fearing violent protests.
Gurgaon police have also arrested 18 people for the bus attack and allied acts of vandalism but not named the Sena in the FIR, PTI said.

"The feedback for the film has been overwhelming", the spokesperson of the production house said. Asked about the protests against the movie in various states by Karni Sena members, Kalvi said, "These are not communal".
Inspite of the makers telling the Karni Sena that there was no sequence of any sort between Padmavati and Khilji, the members of the group did not stop.
"There was not a single dream sequence in the film so I don't know what the fuss is all about".
