Bill Cosby returns to the stage for first time in 3 years


More than 60 women have accuses the actor of sexual assault over the last five years, with the statute of limitations running out on majority.

In his show on Monday, according to the AP, the embattled Cosby imparted an anecdote from his youth, regaling the crowd with a tale of how he quizzed his imbibing uncle William about his brother, who his mother was pregnant with at the time, and if the stork was going to be delivering him.

Cosby, of course, has been keeping a low profile since facing the flurry of sexual assault claims, though he made a public appearance on January 10 at a Philadelphia restaurant and answered a few questions from reporters.

The comedian is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. The event, open to the public, will take place at LaRose Jazz Club in Philadelphia, PA, it was announced by Cosby's official Facebook page.

"I used to be a comedian", Cosby deadpanned.

There, he shook the hand of a female reporter and joked with her, 'Please, don't put me on MeToo, ' in reference to the ongoing movement of women speaking out against their past experiences of sexual harassment and abuse. To date, roughly 50 women have accused Cosby of being a serial sex offender dating back to the mid-1960s. He's denied the allegations. His defense lawyer is Tom Mesereau, best known for representing Michael Jackson.

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to the three counts of aggravated indecent assault, a charge that carries 10 years in prison, that he faced. Cosby has said the encounter was consensual.

Outside the jazz club there was one protester, a woman who frequently hounded Cosby at his trial past year.
