Bulls will be cautious with concussed Dunn

During a game against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, Dunn launched into a speedy breakaway and went for a routine dunk, only to lose his grip on the rim and come crashing back down to earth.

Kris Dunn, 23, definitely made an impact during the Chicago Bulls' game against the Golden State Warriors on January 17 - just not one he ever expected!

Dunn left the game, and was visibly bleeding from his mouth.

The Bulls will likely turn toward the combination of Jerian Grant and David Nwaba at the point guard spot while Dunn is out, although Justin Holiday can also handle the ball if needed.

And the Bulls hope never again to see video of Kris Dunn's nasty fall that concussed him, dislocated his two front teeth and created the current upheaval at point guard. The Bulls later said that Dunn had chipped and dislocated teeth, but he did not appear to have any concussion symptoms.

Over his last 10 games, Dunn was averaging 32.6 minutes per game, as well as 15.1 points and 7.8 assists, while shooting 43 percent from the field.

The Bulls left after their afternoon practice for a three-game trip, starting in Atlanta on Saturday, but Dunn stayed back.

"There was a good little chunk that he took out of the floor", head coach Fred Hoiberg said.

Team officials will re-evaluate Dunn and offer another update later Thursday.
