They also made public the letter they had written to the CJI two months ago. Reportedly, the meeting lasted for around 15 minutes in which the relevant issues were discussed in the friendly and warm environment. In an apparent warning, the judges added that lack of impartiality in allocation of high profile cases and constitution of benches with junior judges could imperil India's democracy. The four judges are learnt to be of the view that since the case is so highly politically sensitive, it ought to have been assigned to a senior judge to avoid questions on the handling of the matter by the court. However, the four senior-most judges who rebelled against the CJI saying "all is not well" were not included in the 5-judge constitution bench. On Tuesday, the Bar Council of India said there was "absolutely no crisis now" in the Supreme Court and normalcy will be restored soon in the higher judiciary.
