Brady limited in practice due to hand injury

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed practice with a right hand injury a day after being limited by the same issue as New England prepared for its AFC championship game matchup with Jacksonville.

A Patriots public relations staffer had said Brady was meeting with the team's medical staff at the time he was scheduled to hold a news conference, which was to be broadcast live on the league's television network.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reports a source close to Brady said the 40-year-old passer "should be OK" for New England's AFC Championship game against the Jaguars Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

Huge asteroid, larger than Burj Khalifa heading towards earth
Nasa classifies an asteroid as "hazardous" if it comes within 4,600,000 miles - putting this one well within the realm of danger. However, the key to mitigating damage is to find any potential threat as early as possible.

The impact of Tom Brady's right hand injury is still to be determined, but Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone isn't concerned either way.

Alan Branch, Rex Burkhead, and Mike Gillislee were also limited at practice with injuries, according to the injury report released by the Patriots Wednesday. This is the first time he has been on the injury report for his throwing hand.

Veteran Brian Hoyer is the only other quarterback on the Patriots roster, so suffice it to say that anything related to Brady and his health is a topic of conversation, particularly in Boston.
