Missing Pravin Togadia found in unconscious state, hospitalised


Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia has been admitted to Chandarmani Hospital after he found in unconscious condition from Ahmedabad, say various media reports.

"I am being targeted for a decades-old case, there is an attempt to suppress my voice". He was reported to be "untraceable" since Monday morning when a contingent of Rajasthan Police came to arrest him in an old case, officials said.

After returning to senses, Togadia addressed the press conference and said that someone was trying to kill him through police encounter with the motive to muzzle his voice of Hindutva.

The VHP leader, however, said that he has no complaints against Punjab and Rajasthan police. He was later was found lying unconscious at Shahi Baug in Ahmedabad. I don't remember which hospital this was, or even who brought me there. Heavy police security was deployed at the hospital preventing VHP workers from entering the premises. I have no complaints with Gujarat or Rajasthan police. The VHP leader further said he "will not be silenced and will continue to work for Hindus" and their welfare. As per investigations by the crime branch he was last seen at the party headquarters in Paldi area of the city. Bharwad told reporters: "Our International Working President Pravin Togadia is missing since 10 am today. RSS also requests all the workers to keep calm and maintain peace".

On Monday, Pravin Togadia was found unconscious in Kotorpur, Ahmedabad.

Though the local court had summoned him various times, he had continuously failed to appear before the court.
