This is the Eagles' first appearance this deep in the postseason since January 2009, when they lost at Arizona one game shy of the Super Bowl. The Saints led that one wire to wire but their defense was forced to stop a driving Cam Newton at the very end of the game to escape with the victory. They are stingy and play the game excellent. Plus, playing at U.S. Bank Stadium in front of fans who want to see their team advance to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1970s, they will be loud and most likely will force the Saints into a mistake or two. In other words, the Vikings can be forgiven for losing that one given the devastating mid-game loss of their star running back.
