Ellen DeGeneres got emotional during the Thursday, January 11 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as she revealed that her dad, Elliot DeGeneres, passed away. "I live there, Oprah lives there". He lived a good long life.
In a tweet shared to Ellen's account, she explained that her father's passing was expected, and she was able to say goodbye before he passed.
She describes him as being a kind man who was always proud of her - and also, interestingly, having survived almost a century without ever going to the doctor.
