Angry Dalit villagers attack Nitish's convoy


While the Chief Minister escaped unhurt, two security personnel in the convoy were injured.

Upset over lack of development, a group of villagers on Friday stoned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's convoy in Buxar district, injuring almost a dozen security personnel, an official said.

Kumar laid the foundation stone for schemes worth Rs 168 crore in Buxar's Nandan along with another Rs 228 crore invested in over 60 schemes in Kamur district's Ahinaura village on Friday. Some ten policemen in charge of the CM's security sustained severe injuries.

"At least 19 people have been arrested in connection with the attack on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's convoy yesterday". The villagers also raised anti-government slogans.
