Sony has shared an official photo from the film with IGN, showing Tom Hardy in his role as Eddie Brock. It's just Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, the merely human half of the interstellar partnership between a washed up tabloid reporter and a murderous alien parasite.

Venom hits theaters on October 5, 2018.

For those who aren't familiar with the series, the Life Foundation is an organization that offered wealthy individuals with a bunker to survive the end of the world, believing that the end of the Cold War would result in a nuclear meltdown.

If that's the case, then Phage, Agony, Scream, Riot and Lasher - the Venom clones from that story-arc - could also be making an appearance.

Looks like this version of Eddie Brock cannot only read but write as well! Attendees of the Brazil Comic-Con got the first info from director Ruben Fleischer as he talked to them from the Venom set. It also featured the Life Foundation.

Liverpool must pay £13m to sign Naby Keita in January

The film takes place in San Francisco and Fleischer drew primary inspiration from two comic runs, Lethal Protector-which saw Venom moving to San Francisco where he tackles five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote-and Planet of the Symbiotes, where Earth is invaded by an army of symbiotes.

What about the allegations your empire is built on? From what we can tell, it appears to read: "That you recruit the most vulnerable of us to volunteer for the testing that more often than not end up (killing) them?" No doubt the film's post-production team is working overtime to get those effects finished, and while this first look image is somewhat bland given what this movie is, we may be seeing a trailer here before too long.

That's pretty straightforward. Perhaps Brock is interviewing Life Foundation boss Carlton Drake in this scene? And now, we have our first look at the headliner in character.

So will the movie see Venom as an existing symbiote that the Life Foundation uses as the basis for its own horrifying monsters?
