James Franco Accused Of Sexually Exploitative Behavior By 5 Women

Five women have accused James Franco of sexual misconduct or other inappropriate behavior, according to the Los Angeles Times.

On Tuesday's episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Franco responded more generally to some accusations leveled against him on Twitter by the women the Times interviewed, like Tither-Kaplan and Violet Paley, who said she had begun a romantic relationship with Franco "when she said he pressured her into performing oral sex on him", the Times reported. Violet Paley, who accused Franco of coercing her into oral sex before they later began a consensual sexual relationship, told the L.A. Times that after the allegations against Harvey Weinstein broke previous year, she had e-mailed Franco to voice her anger and sadness at how he had treated her.

One theme runs through almost every allegation against Franco in the Times: He abuses a position of power to put women in uncomfortable scenarios, in which denying his requests risked angering Franco or endangering the women's careers.

Violet Paley said that during a consensual relationship, Franco once pressured her to perform oral sex in a vehicle and that the "power dynamic was really off". Previously, surrounding Franco's Golden Globes win for The Disaster Artist, Paley tweeted criticism of Franco's decision to wear a Time's Up pin and accused him of sexual misconduct.

While James has since made the press rounds to defend his innocence, five women have spoken to The Los Angeles Times to detail their experiences with the A-lister.

Regarding the other allegations, he added, "The things that I heard were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice, because they didn't have a voice for so long".

When none of the women on set volunteered to get topless for Franco, Dusome and Chmiel say that Franco got visibly angry.

Despite all the tall claims, the police have not been able to nab the man who was seen taking her along in the CCTV video. Kasur made global headlines in 2015 when a gang of paedophiles running a child sex ring was busted, Dawn has reported.

When asked by Colbert about how to come to some sense of the truth so that there can be a possible reconciliation between the people who have different views, Franco said that if he's done something wrong he will fix it. "I personally checked on all the actresses constantly to make sure they were ok and comfortable".

Hilary Dusome told the publication she took an acting class with Franco in 2012 at Playhouse West in North Hollywood, California.

Paley's second comment about a 17-year-old refers to a 2014 incident in which Franco connected on Instagram with a fan he had met outside his Broadway show, Of Mice and Men.

"I have my own side of this story", Franco told host Seth Meyers Wednesday night, "but I believe in, you know, these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out enough that I will hold back things that I could say". I think it's a good thing and I support it...

A request for comment from Franco's attorney, Michael Plonsker, was not immediately returned to ABC News. Franco, who won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical and Comedy for The Disaster Artist, is considered a contender for other acting nods this awards season, and there's already speculation about whether nominating bodies such as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will take into account the claims against him.

In a statement provided by Franco's publicist, Robin Baum, Cynthia Huffman, casting director of "The Long Home" said Tither-Kaplan's description of the orgy scene was inaccurate.

"There are stories that need to get out", Franco told Meyers. "I used bad judgement and I learned my lesson".
