The X1 Tablet is a little more expensive at $3,019.

Tested to survive water, extreme heat and ice7, the latest ThinkPad X1 Carbon merges beauty and legendary durability to create a laptop packed with distinctive engineering.

Lenovo has given the third-generation ThinkPad X1 Tablet an all-new 13-inch design, with a 3K display (3,000 x 2,000 pixels) promising vibrant colors and supporting HDR (with the screen being fashioned from Gorilla Glass).

This is the sixth iteration of the ThinkPad carbon, and like previous models, you can customize the type of hardware that comes with it.

Dominating the laptop is a 14-inch WQHD IPS HDR display with a screen resolution of 2560x1440. Predictably, each device uses Intel's new 8th-generation Core i series processors and can be configured with up to an i7. Connectivity wise, it features Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac.

If you're a regular reader of HotHardware (which we're sure you are), then you know that we've always been fans of Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 family of products. It also includes an IR camera on top of the already existing fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. Boasting a peak brightness of 500 nits, these 2560×1440 displays now support 100% of the Adobe RGB colour space and now feature Dolby Vision HDR technology. The laptop, in fact, comes with a long-range mic for listening to your voice commands. Over the years, the family has grown to include the X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga and X1 Tablet. On the other hand, the Lenovo Miix 630 is the result of the partnership of Lenovo, Qualcomm and Microsoft. It's a part of Lenovo's light and portable Yoga lineup. This year, they ship with 14-inch QHD touch displays. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga features the same set of internals as found inside its robust and costlier brother, the X1 Carbon.

It is unfortunate, and I think things need to be done because impunity should not be allowed to thrive in Nigeria. He also said it is sad that Ortom "never" approached him to call his attention to the issue.

Apart from these two, the Chinese OEM unveiled a new professional tablet.

Also on tap is the 3 generation X1 Tablet, which - surprise, surprise - is available with 8 generation Core i7 processors. The device offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available anytime in January 2018 at $1,709 (Rs 108,400 approximately ) onwards. It features a Pen Pro stylus and a removable keyboard. It has retained the IR Camera and Fingerprint Reader in combination with Windows Hello.

Somewhat ironically for a company caught loading spyware-riddled bloatware on its laptops, the ThinkPad X1 line-up has an integrated plastic tab for covering up the webcam in order to prevent hackers from hacking it and spying on users. Desktops users would need to use the other two HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2.

The X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga will both be available starting this month with prices starting at $1709 and $1889 respectively.
