"It is with great reluctance that we - as a team and club - prepare to say farewell to a good friend, a wonderful person and a fantastic player in Philippe Coutinho", Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the club's official website.

Coutinho will not make his Barcelona debut for another three weeks after picking up a thigh injury.

Philippe Coutinho said he is targeting titles at Barcelona after finally completing his "dream" €160 million ($192 million) move from Liverpool on Monday.

Luis Suarez has vowed to help Philippe Coutinho achieve his dreams following his transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona.

Over the weekend, Liverpool confirmed that their star man was close to joining Barca for a British record fee, and the Brazilian global has now been officially unveiled at the La Liga leaders.

"I have seen him play in various positions - on the right, the left, in the middle, on the wings".

Coutinho: Liverpool Are in a Healthy Position

The playmaker joined Barcelona after Liverpool agreed to sell him for £142 million, making him the third-most expensive player in the world behind Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

While Coutinho's ability does warrant a high transfer fee, new Barcelona team-mate Ivan Rakitic believes the cost is a "bit high". "He scores and sets up goals, and going forward he can help us a lot as he can play both inside and out wide", remarked Valverde after Barcelona's comfortable 3-0 La Liga win over Levante on Sunday.

The 25-year-old will prove a pivotal part of Barcelona's attack for years to come and Suarez went out of his way to make Coutinho feel comfortable in the past week, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Coutinho's signing allows Barca to move on from the bitter experience of losing his Brazil teammate Neymar to Qatar-backed PSG.

"Footballers like Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, (Andres) Iniesta, (Gerard) Pique, (Sergio) Busquets".

Despite already paying Southampton £75 million for defender Virgil van Dijk, Klopp will be chasing an attacker with Leicester City's Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez and Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar already linked with a switch to Anfield.
