Bears will have eighth pick in National Football League draft

For the second straight year the hapless Cleveland Browns control the NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns made National Football League history in 2017 by becoming the first team to earn the No. 1 overall selection in the draft for two consecutive years.

Only three of the top seven picks in this mock are non-quarterbacks: Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick (Indianapolis Colts), Penn State running back Saquon Barkley (Browns) and North Carolina State edge defender Bradley Chubb (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Cleveland acquired Houston's 2018 first-round selection during the opening night of the 2017 draft when they allowed Houston to move up to No. 12 to select quarterback Deshaun Watson. They secured the fourth overall pick on New Year's Eve.
