Prostitution racket busted, two actresses arrested from five-star hotels


Two budding actresses were rescued by Hyderabad Police from a prostitution racket being run by a five-star hotel on Sunday morning.

The Commissioner's Task Force, which conducted the raids on two rooms in Taj Deccan and Taj Banjara hotels, nabbed two "organisers", who were identified as Monish Kadakia, casting director for Bollywood Telugu and Tamil films and D.Venkat Rao, a brothel organiser.

A police officer said two girls from Mumbai were arrested from the hotels adding that an investigation has been launched after the arrest of the people. One of them, Monish Kadakia, is reportedly a casting director and an event manager, who hails from Gamdevi, Mumbai.

According to Nageshwar Rao, Inspector North Zone Task Force, the team got information from the local police. In 2014, a similar kind racket had been exposed, which led to the arrest of a Mumbai-based actress.

A total of Rs 55,000 in cash and several cell phones were seized from the rooms.

The Hyderabad police officials arrested five persons, including a Tollywood actress and a television actress from Bengal.

The third broker, named Janardhan Jani is now absconding. The complete details of the case would be revealed soon. Thereafter, two more persons, including the actresses in question, were arrested from another lavish hotel in the same area.
