First look at Hawk and Dove from DC's Titans

Two weeks after revealing our first look at Brenton Thwaites as Robin on Titans, Warner Bros. has unveiled another moody first look at the drama's heroes. This could either be because she's new to the superhero game when Titans debuts (in the comics, Dawn replaced Hanks' brother Don after his death), or it may be reflective of her character's preference to diffuse fights without resorting to violence. First introduced in the pages of DC Comics in 1964, the Teen Titans were formed from the ranks of the many young sidekicks serving under DC Comics' biggest superheroes. Warner Bros. previously released the first photo of Dick Grayson as played by the series leading man, Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales). A new picture released today by Warner Bros. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever. Seeing Hawk and Dove in live-action for the first time is actually pretty surreal, and seeing how comic accurate their costumes are is jaw-dropping.

Militant Hawk and pacifist Dove were originally created by Steve Ditko and Steve Skeates, debuting in Showcase No. 75 in 1968.

What do you think of Hawk and Dove's look in Titans? Now we're getting an early peak at a couple of his blue-chip recruits, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall, aka Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, aka Dove. The two characters will be portrayed as boyfriend and girlfriend.

The costumes are designed by The Jungle Book and Iron Man costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, and we have to say, they don't look half-bad.

Titans is set to premiere next year as a part of DC's upcoming digital service.
