It remains to be seen how much of Bohemian Rhapsody will be Fletcher's and his much of it will be Singer's.
The film was almost finished when Singer was sacked and Fletcher, who was originally tapped to direct the film in 2014 but left the project over creative differences, was rehired, according to The Wrap. For Fletcher, this brief taste of directing a big-name biopic acts as a precursor for his Elton John biopic that's still to come.
Singer was sacked from the film because of a pattern of unreliability, culminating in him not returning from the Thanksgiving break and being AWOL for three days.

Bohemian Rhapsody is scheduled for a release in 2018. The dismissal followed an earlier confrontation between the director and star Rami Malek, along with actor Tom Hollander allegedly quitting the movie over Singer's behavior, then returning to work.
The studio statement on Fletcher's hiring doesn't indicate whether or not there'll be reshoots or if he'll be drastically changing the make-up of Singer's film, but it's likely that there'll be a number of scenes reshot as Fox claims that Singer was regularly absent from the set.

Singer also said there had been no confrontation between him and Malek, and that apart from creative differences, the two had put their differences aside and were working together harmoniously before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The movie also stars Mike Myers, "Game of Thrones" star Aidan Gillen, and "Sing Street"'s Lucy Boynton.
