LaVar Ball pulls son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA

The controversy surrounding UCLA basketball player LiAngelo Ball for his role in a shoplifting incident during the team's November trip to China took an interesting turn Monday afternoon, but not for the better. LiAngelo has been, since coming back (from China), he's been tremendous as far as (he's) been to all his classes.

"We learned today of LiAngelo Ball's intention to withdraw from UCLA", he said.

Emmert has spoken out on numerous occasions over the years against the NBA's age limit, which requires players to either be 19 years old when they declare for the NBA Draft or have played at least one season of college ball.

The incident garnered national attention and criticism for the Ball family, most of it aimed at Lavar, who did not restrain his words about the incident or President Donald Trump's involvement.

Ball recently announced that he pulled LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA following his indefinite suspension from the basketball program.

LaVar Ball said at the time that "one of the main reasons [LiAngelo Ball] went to UCLA" was to play basketball.
