Two students have been shot near Graham-Kapowsin High School in Graham, Washington.
The shooting happened about 45 miles south of Seattle outside of the high school.
One of the shooting victims ran into the school after he was shot, Troyer said, and made it into the locker room bathroom.
"Both kids are at Tacoma General (Hospital) in surgery and are both expected to survive", said Pierce County Sheriff PIO Ed Troyer. Vehicle is a green Chevrolet Impala, suspects described as multiple black males.
"Deputies are actively sweeping the school grounds, at this point no indications that shooters are on campus", The Pierce County Sheriff's Office tweeted.
The high school was put in a lockdown that lasted for almost four hours before it was lifted at 6:15 p.m. and school buses began taking students home.
Pierce County Sheriff's Deputies patted down students and searched backpacks and other belongings before releasing them from the school.

Graham-Kapowsin is part of the Bethel School District. All remaining students have been secured with deputies, the department said.
"As you can imagine, there's a lot of parents, and they're all upset", Troyer said. This is a scary situation and we are proud of how our staff, students and families have been and are still reacting to it.
Graham-Kapowsin High School is located at 108th Ave E & Eustis Hunt Road E. The shots were reportedly fired on the Eustis Hunt Road side of the campus.
Once the danger was cleared the students were released around 4:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. EST).
The high school campus is alongside the campuses of Frontier Middle School and Nelson Elementary School. It's unclear whether the shooter or shooters were students at the school.
