A collection of Mega Man X games is coming to current-gen platforms, Capcom said today on a stream celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mega Man.

Well I'll be, this outdoes the "Mega Man Killer" Mighty No. 9 visually, and I have to give it to Capcom - the one two punch of the proven X series and the intrigue of the first new Mega Man game since 2010 made this stream worth watching.

The game will release almost a decade after the last new Mega Man game so we can only hope that it lives up to the hype. It is set to release late 2018.

Mega Man 11 is in the works. The collection will include all the main games in that series in the Mega Man X Collection, pretty much the same port as the 2006 version of the collection for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube.
