Telecom operators come up with new plans for their customers nearly every passing day. Rival Aircel has similar Rs 199 plan which gives prepaid users unlimited calls and 1GB data for 28 days at Rs 199. Jio disrupted the sector by offering unlimited data and free voice calls. The company had introduced the Rs. 458 plan giving 1GB of data per day for 70 days.
Vodafone's new Rs 199 plan directly counters Jio's Rs 149 plan - under which it offers 2GB of data, unlimited calls to any systems (both local and STD) and unlimited SMS (300 points of confinement for each day). Including to its plan of recently declared duty designs, Vodafone India on Wednesday presents another plan for its prepaid clients. But the unlimited calling has a FUP. But, that's not happening is this new plan as it comes with a lot of limitations for the customers. In case, a user consumes their daily limit then they will be charged at 30 paisa per minute for subsequent calls. This plan apparently takes on Reliance Jio Rs. 149 plan that offers similar benefits. However, the customers will be able to make free calls for maximum 250 minutes in a day and 1,000 minutes in a week. That is about the data offer under this plan.
Vodafone ToS states that users can't make calls to more than 300 unique numbers in a 7-day period.
This new plan is however different from Airtel's previous plan of Rs 199 which is also valid for 28 days.
