Trader Joe's says it has recalled several packaged salads after a supplier said there may be shards of glass or hard plastic inside. The chicken and turkey salad was sold by Trader Joe's in 12 different states.
The recalled products will also include the code "P-40299" on the USDA inspection label.
The recall encompasses three varieties of chicken and turkey salads made by Green Cuisine, a San Fernando company, that bear the "Trader Joe's" brand on their packaging and are sold at the grocery chain.
The recalled salads have the use-by date codes from November 10 through November 21 and U.S.D.A. inspected code P-40299.

The offending white meat chicken salads (SKU 98091) and curried white chicken deli salads (SKU 96426) were sold in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. No one has yet to report any injuries or illnesses connected to the contamination.
Consumers who have purchased these products should throw them away or return them to the store, the USDA.
Trader Joe's addressed the recall on their website, saying all affected product on their shelves have been destroyed.
