"If historical facts are distorted, and if anything is shown or said in the movie against the respect of the country's mother, Padmavatiji', then that movie can not be allowed for release in Madhya Pradesh", Chouhan said while addressing members of the Rajput community here at his residence.
Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmavati has fallen into a nasty controversy.
Chouhan's remarks came soon after he met a delegation of Rajput community members, who had gone to meet him demanding ban on the release of the movie in the state.
"Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the studio behind "Padmavati", has voluntarily deferred the release date of the film from December 1, 2017", the company spokesperson said in a statement. However, the makers of the film have repeatedly assured that there is no such scene in the film. The movie has already been delayed by the makers, as it was returned from CBFC due to technical difficulties and couldn't be approved by the time of its release.

Padmavati was supposed to be released in India on 1 December, but the makers have made a decision to postpone the date. The Rajput community has been protesting against the film in every state of the country.
He said even if the movie gets passed by the Censor Board, it won't allow the screening of the movie in the state. The CBFC had sent the film back to the producer as the application for the certification was incomplete.
