Former Cowboys WR Terry Glenn Dies in Car Accident

BOSTON- A former Patriots wide receiver was killed in a vehicle crash in Texas, according to FOX25. He was booked for public intoxication in 2005 when officers caught him urinating behind a fast-food restaurant dumpster, and for assaulting the mother of his then-5-year-old son in 2001.

Glenn played for the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.

That was the final game of Glenn's career and he retired with 593 passes, 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns. He also caught Tom Brady's first National Football League touchdown pass 16 years ago. He had a break-out rookie season with 90 receptions, helping the Pats reach the Super Bowl. Afterwards, he went on to play for the Packers. Glenn had four seasons of more than 1,000 yards receiving, and he was a Pro Bowler in 1999. A knee injury ended his career and he was officially released in the summer of 2008.

In 2016, Glenn founded 83Kids, a nonprofit serving foster children. "Praying for his family", Damien Woody, who played with Glenn in New England, tweeted.
