170 firefighters battle fire in NYC apartment building

The blaze began just after 3pm inside the building located at 565 W. 144th Street and Broadway in the Hamilton Heights neighbourhood on Friday (27 November).

A video below provided by ABC 7 News shows exactly how monstrous this fire was in Hamilton Heights, a neighborhood in Upper Manhattan.

A massive blaze has broken out at a six-storey apartment building in the Hamilton Heights area of NY. Black smoke could reportedly be seen from the area miles away. There is no word on what caused the fire.

More than 160 firefighters and dozens of emergency vehicles are on the scene. "These things can be replaced, material things, but a human life can't", according to CBS.
