Last week, Beverly retained an attorney, and the school resubmitted the waiver to play this season. "Braxton is ready to compete for the NC State Wolfpack!" Wolfpack assistant A.W. Hamilton coached Beverly last season at Hargrave.
Beverly was granted a release from the University after then-head coach of the Buckeyes Thad Matta had been relieved of his coaching duties.
"We are grateful that the NCAA agreed to reconsider Braxton's appeal and reversed the original decision, resulting in Braxton's immediate eligibility", Wolfpack athletic director Debbie Yow said in a statement.
