Duke vs. Michigan State

Marvin Bagley III will not return to Duke's game against Michigan State after getting poked in the eye during the first half, reports ESPN's Maria Taylor. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 157 points.

Bridges' teammates are no slouches, either, of course, as the game is billed as a showdown between potential Final Four teams.

Records: No. 2 MSU is 1-0. In those two games, the Blue Devils scored 98 points per game. Trevon Duval is adding 11.5 points and 10 assists per contest.

On the other side - the Michigan State Spartans have played just one game so far this season. It's been 12 years - since that 2005 NCAA Tournament win - since Michigan State has taken the Blue Devils down, but this may very well be the most talented Sparta team Izzo has assembled in his tenure.

The league announced the award on Monday following Maye setting a career high in points, 26, and grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds in Carolina's victory over Northern Iowa. Tip-off is at 7 p.m., and boasts arguably the nation's top team in Duke and the nation's best player in Michigan State sophomore Miles Bridges.

So long as the freshman phenom is sidelined, Duke should lean on Wendell Carter Jr., Marques Bolden and Antonio Vrankovic to shoulder the frontcourt workload. I think the Spartans will take their learning experiences from a year ago and turn it into some big wins this year.
