Now, the phone has been passed through the TENAA - China's version of the FCC in the US. And now the Chinese company is all set to launch it's successor called the Redmi Note 5.

However, it is obvious that the upcoming device will be superior to the Redmi Note 4 in terms of specifications.

We now are getting one more step closer to that. Specifically, there will be a dual-lens camera at the back of the handset, which is made of two 16MP sensors.

It certainly looks different from the Redmi Note 4 from the front, at least. You can see the front screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and rounded corners in the style of LG G6 and frame, many frames, so many frames. Also, a fingerprint scanner on the rear is clearly visible. It packs an octa-core CPU along with Adreno 509 GPU. The three variants are expected to come with the smartphone which are - Redmi Note 5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, the Redmi Note 5 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and lastly the Redmi Note 5 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Even though the device is not aimed at the high-end market, Xiaomi will heavily promote the Note 5 in the market, especially in India.
