Colts?quarterback Andrew Luck?will stop throwing for the time being because of soreness in his surgically repaired right shoulder, general manager Chris Ballard said Wednesday.
"No, not at this time", Ballard said about Luck potentially going on IR.
Luck has not played since January after undergoing surgery on a torn labrum but was finally cleared to practice two weeks ago.
"The doctors and the trainers have made a decision to give him a cortisone shot to kind of take away some of that inflammation that's been happening", Chris Ballard said.
When he's back throwing, Ballard said Luck will be able to pick up where he left off in terms of his practice plan. He had been dealing with some shoulder soreness, and that soreness led to Luck needing to receive a cortisone shot. Luck played in 15 games last season, completing 63.5 percent of his passes and throwing for 4,240 yards, 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Ballard said Wednesday Luck's rehab work is still "going well".
The Colts returned to practice on Wednesday afternoon and will continue to operate with Jacoby Brissett under center. "It's kind of been coming along the whole time".
Despite the setback, the good news is the team didn't jump to put him on injured reserve but this does push the future return date back further. "We are going to try to shut him down and calm it down for right now".
According to Ballard, Luck's recovery was coming along as scheduled before this week's complication.
